Support for you and your family is imperative at all levels. From initial discussions with loved ones, where we understand it can be difficult to even inform them of potential pending outcomes of a police investigation, right through to ongoing emotional, practical and employment support for them, whilst you are in custody.
Families are always the unfair recipients of the largest impact as a result of someone in the home being sent to prison. This impact is both in practical day-to-day terms and emotionally, they are of course, in the majority of cases, the innocent victims of the situation.
Where the main earner in a household is the one being sent to prison, financial pressures can be extremely severe, with wider and highly damaging implications. Prison Help's bespoke packages work with you, either before you are sentenced, or with your family if sentencing has already occurred, to plan, structure and support sensible solutions to ease the process. We can offer support securing new employment and income for your household. We offer an important and completely confidential advice mechanism to provide your family with a trusted and knowledgeable service to reduce worry and steer them, clearly and confidently, through the process.
Our services are unique and bring a welcome level of calm and stability.
Right now, family support services are available as part of our bespoke packages. During 2016 we will be working hard with Trusts, Foundations and Philanthropists in the UK to provide these services to families at a lower cost, and also to offer a basic service, free of charge. We are presently establishing a volunteers network to support families with loved ones in custody.
